Do you like that grunge, glitched look on old VHS tapes? There are different ways to add such effects to your images and even create an animation from a static photo using an Animated VHS Creation Kit.

Solarized Like Zayn: The Digital Sabattier Effect
We're big fans of the pictures of Man Ray and Edward Weston, so when we saw the solarization effect that they used so well in turn up in Pillowtalk, the latest music video from Zayn (formerly of One Direction), we decided to try and recreate it digitally.

Flames, and Infernos in photoshop
In this tutorial, I will create an effect like the one in the header of the website. This effect is a reader's-request tutorial.
Your own money Photoshop Tutorial
Ever feel like making your own money? Well you probably shouldn't actually make any, because I don't think the law would appreciate it very much. But if you feel like just making some Photoshopped money for a design, then read on to find out how to stick your own face on a dollar bill!
Step1
So I have chosen a US dollar banknote, but you can choose whatever you wish. Just grab a camera and take a photo of some money, or you can download a one-dollar note from Wikipedia. The image size I've used is about 2000 px wide and 900 px high.
Creating a Rocking Silhouette in Adobe Photoshop
If you've ever wanted to shine in the spotlight, try this tutorial. It shows you how to create a silhouette of a person taken from a normal photo, adding colorful light to it as if the light source is located behind this object.
Step 1
Start out by importing the image you want to cut the silhouette from into Photoshop. I used an image with a white background, which makes cutting very easy. Everyone has their own way of cutting something out, so I will not include that part in this tutorial. If you are unsure how to cut something out, look for a tutorial on that subject first.
When you are ready and feel like you have a clean cut, go into the layer's blending options, choose Color Overlay, and set the color to black. This should give you the silhouette of what you cut out. In my example, I did the hair separately and used a lower opacity on the Color Overlay so you can still see some gray tones.
